Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has expressed his happiness in view of the provision of Rs 5300 crore grant for the Bhadra Upper Bank Project in the Union Budget.
Nirmala Sitharaman, who is presenting the 5th Budget today as the Finance Minister, has allocated Rs 5,630 crore for the Bhadra Upper Bank Project. He announced that he has kept a grant reserve.
The Bhadra Upper Bank Project is a project to provide water from the Bhadra Reservoir to the agricultural lands of Tumkur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga and Davangere districts.
In this regard, he tweeted on the social networking site Twitter and said that he thanked the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Union Government led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing a grant of Rs 5300 crore for Bhadra Melande Yojana, an important project of the state in this year's Union Budget.
